From Noob to Pro Guide
This guide covers everything from starting from scratch to collecting all 54 "brain rot" cards, including the secret Arch Star variants.
π Game Fundamentals
In My Card Collection, the core loop involves purchasing packs, placing them to hatch cards (known as "Brain Rots"), and collecting passive income from those cards to buy even better packs.
- Money Collection: Once a card is placed, click it to collect money.
- Leveling Up: Obtaining duplicates of a card automatically levels up that "Brain Rot," increasing its Money Per Second (MPS).
- Pack Slots: You have limited space to place packs. Open them as soon as they are ready to free up slots.
π¦ Card Pack Hierarchy
Packs are tiered by price and the quality of cards they contain. Progression follows this general path:
| Tier | Pack Name | Key Characteristics |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Leaf Pack | Starting pack, very cheap. |
| 2 | Water Pack | Early game progression. |
| 3 | Moon Pack | Mid-game entry (Approx. $80k). |
| 4 | Sun Pack | Better than Moon, high income jump. |
| 5 | Fire Pack | Late-game starter (Approx. $48M). |
| 6 | Heart Pack | Unique cards found across multiple pages. |
| 7 | Star Pack | Top-tier standard pack (Approx. $30B). |
| 8 | Arch Star | Secret/Ultra-rare tier (Approx. 123 Quadrillion). |
π Rarity & Special Variants
Packs and cards come in four main visual/power variants:
Normal
Standard white/basic border.
Shiny
Enhanced glow and significantly higher MPS.
Gold
Extremely rare; a Gold Star card can generate millions per second.
Rainbow
The "Secret" tier; provides a massive level-up boost and unique visuals.
Arch
The highest known tier; cost is in the quadrillions, and hatching takes ~25 hours.
π Pro Progression Strategies
πΈ Rapid Wealth Generation
- The 10-Hour Skip: If you have Robux, the "10 Hours of Money" boost is the fastest way to skip the early-game grind.
- Multiplier Stacking: You can purchase permanent money multipliers (x2 up to x50) to accelerate your earnings.
- Targeting Star Packs: Once you reach the billions, focus exclusively on Star Packs to find the Black Hole Goat, one of the game's strongest units.
β±οΈ Managing Timers
Higher-tier packs have long wait times:
- Star Pack: ~7 Hours
- Arch Star Pack: ~25 Hours
- Quick Tip: You can bypass these timers using a small amount of Robux (usually 25 per pack) to "Open Now."
π― Completing the Collection
- Check your Collection Index frequently.
- If you are missing a 0.6% rarity card from a lower tier (like the Water Pack), you may need to "spam-buy" cheap packs to finish the set.
- The final total to aim for is 54/54 Brain Rots.
π‘ Advanced Tips & Strategies
Conveyor Monitoring
Keep an eye on the pack conveyor belt. Rare variants (Gold/Rainbow) appear randomly. Buy them immediately even if they are expensive! Don't just buy every pack - wait for "Shiny" or "Golden" packs to appear on the track for a better chance at high-value cards.
Base Strategy
If your luck feels "stuck," some players believe moving away from your base or visiting others' bases can refresh the pack RNG. You can walk to other players' bases to see their collections and identify which high-level cards you should aim for next.
Shiny Hunting Strategy
Keep buying lower-tier packs like the Leaf Pack even later in the game to hunt for their "Shiny" versions to complete your inventory. Shiny cards override normal versions and provide significantly higher MPS.
Value Retention
Why delete cards when you can make your collection more valuable? Only delete the absolute lowest earners if you have no pages left. Even $30,000 packs are worth stacking because they increase your total collection value without wasting shelf space.
Endgame Goal
Your ultimate objective is the Arch Basante Jupiter, which can produce over 14 million MPS on its own. This requires reaching the Arch Star Pack tier, which costs approximately 123 Quadrillion and takes ~25 hours to hatch.
